'Ru Ba Ru' is Directed by Arjun Bali. The director has come up with a predictable plot and though the
presentation was alright it is the narration that actually keeps the audience glued.
A typical tale, the story begins with Nikhil (Randeep) and Tara (Shahana) who are ideally in love with each
other but then Tara is the more sentimental girl who wants to forge her relationship into a commitment called
marriage while Nikhil is the more practical and work oriented guy. He is so much into his work that he never
cares to think about the other side of life. All this goes on for a while and reaches such a stage that Nikhil
starts forgetting some small but highly crucial things in thier relationship in his obsession with work. Tara takes
it for a while and one fine day she decides to call it off but then happens a drastic event which actually
changes the whole scenario. And what happens hereafter is to be seen on the screen.
Presentation:
The script was done tightly and even the screenplay was executed effectively. However, the dialogues were
just about okay and there were some really dull moments in the film. The music was just about average while
the camera was good with its angles and other moments. Editing could have been a lot better and other
departments were just about okay. Randeep has come up with a natural performance and showed his mettle
as an actor while Shahana was a real show stealer, she has a natural flair for the screen, Jayant looked elegant
while Rati Agnihotri was the perfect match for him. Kulbushan Karbanda was sophisticated with his
performance and the rest were okay with their their roles.
