Ajay (Shah Rukh) and Javed (Jackie Shroff) are a part
of a task force that combats drug trafficking. The lord
of this game is a disreputable man, KKV (Nirmal Pandey).
Their overwrought convene sees them successful in arresting
the immoral man, who manages to get the court to exonerate
him.
Javed and Ajay share a very close relationship and
each regards the other as a brother, Ajay being the
younger. Four orphan children are also family to Javed,
but Ajay is not particularly fond of children. The kids
too share a similar feeling of disliking towards Ajay
who is made target of all their pranks.
The idealistic ambience wasn't meant to last too long,
and Ajay was distraught with the news of Javed's murder.
He takes it up to him to care for the orphaned children.
But the children who still hate him are difficult. His
ex-roommate, Champak (Dilip Joshi) tries to help in
this regard but in vain. That's when Geeta (Juhi Chawla),
the chirpy, talkative bucolic girl and a friend of Javed's
comes to aid Ajay and is successful in befriending the
children. Ajay falls in love with her.
Ajay follows KKV to a nightclub, and observes that
he is dancing with a very lovely damsel but is devastated
on recognising her as Geeta. He decides to confront
the concerned on the same but Geeta declines all allegations
insisting that she was home. The witness - the children.
All this is leads to a confusing state of affairs and
numerous unanswered questions. And all on Ajay's mind
is getting to the bottom of it all.
