'Hello' is Directed by Atul Agnihotri. The director has come out with an interesting plot but then there is a major
difference in conceiving something and getting it on screen.
A cryptic tale of complicated lives, the story is set on the backdrop of a call center and its employees. The story is
about Shyam (Sharman) who is on the verge of a relationship break up since he is not able to get growth in the
organization. Then there is Esha (Eesha) who is an aspiring model but is struggling to get the right break, then there is
Varun aka Vroom (Sohail) who is madly in love with Esha but is unable to win her heart. Also present in a complicated
situation is Radhika (Amrita) who is having marital troubles due to a troubling mother in law while her husband (Arbaaz
Khan) is having an affair with someone, and then there is a grandpa who is ex military Vijay Pratap (Sharat Saxena)
who is forcefully made to stay away from his grandchild.
Priyanka (Gul) is Shyam's girlfriend working at the same place but then her mother (Bharati Achrekar) is not willing to
approve the relationship since she wants her daughter to marry a rich NRI. So just when there is no hope left for
anyone and each individual is trying to come to the point of frustration and disgust, a call comes. This is straight from
god himself, what is the call? And what happens hereafter is to be seen on the screen.
Presentation:
The script was weak and had few loose ends and the screenplay was barely tolerable. Dialogues were not upto the
mark and music was just regular with nothing special to offer. Cinematography did not have much to do since there
were no great locations or moments to capture. Editing was missing completely. The girls Eesha, Gul, Amrita were just
about okay and did not give much to their performance except showing some long legs and oozing out glamour. Gul
was a surprise package among them. Among the males, it was Sohail Khan and Sharman who did a very fine job,
Sharman for that matter has actually given a life to the weak script. Sharat Saxena was underutilized, Dalip Tahil was
professional, Suresh Menon was ridiculous. The others need no mention here.
