'Haal-e-Dil' is directed by Anil Devgan. The director's intentions may be sincere. But director needs to be given a big stick here considering his caliber as he had a good subject in mind but when it came to the presentation, it was pathetic. But this movie is such movies which really make the audience think as to what exactly gets into the mind of some really experienced folk in the industry.
A good tale spoilt, the story is about three individuals with three entirely different modes of thinking when it comes to love and how things change when their paths intersect. On the front is Sanjana (Amita) for whom love is nothing less than divine and sacred and she would not entertain any blemish on it. Secondly, there is Rohit (Adhyayan) who is intensely passionate about love so much so that once he gets into it, it is very hard for him to come out.
Last but not the least, there is Shekhar (Nakuul) who is an eternal lover boy and falls for girls at every second turn and wants to be in the endless state of love without never really committing to it. Things change when Sanjana enters the life of Shekhar and his total course takes a U turn. Meanwhile, Sanjana also has another angle of romance linked in the form of Rohit and following a course of twists and tales, there comes a situation where she is getting drawn towards a man with all the incorrect traits and on the other hand there is someone who will make her feel a complete woman. Where does Sanjana go? What happens to the love triangle? And what happens hereafter is to be seen on the screen.
Performances:
'Haal-e-Dil' belongs to Amita Pathak, Nakuul Mehta, Adhyayan Suman, Kajol, Ajay Devgan. The dialogues were dull, the script was totally loose and the screenplay fell apart at few places. The saving grace for the movie is the technical side with some mesmerizing music, stunning locales and brilliant camerawork. Even the cast has given their best shot with Nakuul fitting the bill as the everlasting lover and showing the transformation in him correctly, even Adhyayan has done his best in putting things across but then there was not much for him in the role so his talent got restricted there. The others went about with their role with mechanical ease which did not help.
